Outpatient detoxification from alcohol or drugs allows clients to continue fulfilling their professional, educational, and family responsibilities while detoxing from the comfort of their own home. Those interested in outpatient detox are thoroughly assessed by our medical team that specializes in addiction treatment. After undergoing a thorough assessment, clients receive recommendations based upon their unique circumstances and ability to function outside of a medically monitored treatment setting. Outpatient detox is not appropriate for everyone and clients will be thoroughly assessed.

The Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is the highest level of care available at RSCT and meets (9am to 1pm M-F). The Day Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) (9 - Noon M-Th) and the Evening IOP (6 - 9 pm M-Th) and PHP afford Clients the ability to continue to work and take care of family responsibilities while engaging in more intensive substance abuse treatment. Treatment is tailored to individualized needs and the range of services includes individual and group therapy; alcohol and drug education; relapse prevention; family therapy and ongoing after-care.

The Progressive Institute is a dual-licensed psychiatric and addiction outpatient treatment facility located at 2 Trap Falls Road in Shelton, CT . We offer a variety of treatment options to accommodate patients with primary mental health and/or primary substance abuse diagnoses. We have a team of licensed professionals, experienced in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, who focus on the creation of an individualized treatment pathway for each patient. Our highest level of treatment is intensive outpatient (IOP). Our daytime IOP runs 9am-noon, Tues/Wed/Thurs and our evening IOP runs 5:30pm-8:30pm, Tues/Wed/Thurs. We offer multiple weekly outpatient groups (OP) including substance abuse relapse prevention, mental health wellness, chronic pain, and faith-based relapse prevention. Individual and Family Therapy is offered and scheduled individually with each patient. Psychiatric Care and Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT), which includes Vivitrol® and Suboxone®, is scheduled individually with each patient.
