Real Life Gaming
Real-Life Gaming group is an eight-week virtual intervention program for children and adolescents who show signs of problematic gaming behavior which contributes to social withdrawal, family conflict, declining academic performance and engagement, and exacerbated mental health conditions. The program transforms the youth’s passion for video gaming into a mode of therapeutic engagement and an opportunity to break existential states of social isolation. Participants also develop their own video game world and character(s) to understand physiological states of arousal and regulation, attention allocation, mental and emotional profiles, conflict management, problem solving, social thinking, and communication.
