Full Continuum of Care
Our full continuum of care allows us to provide treatment that meets the needs of each unique adolescent—whether they are stepping down from a residential program, require a higher level of care, or are seeking ongoing structure and community through outpatient programming. Newport Academy has residential and outpatient locations around the country, in order to give as many teens and families as possible access to the treatment they need to thrive. We provide industry-leading residential care, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), and outpatient services with flexible schedules, all accredited by the Joint Commission for Behavioral Healthcare, the nation’s most respected healthcare accreditation body. In addition, Newport Academy offers continuing connection once a patient leaves our care, through virtual sessions providing ongoing support for both teens and parents; and through our robust Alumni program, which keeps former clients connected through online and in-person events and support groups. At Newport Academy, academic and life skills education is an integral part of the treatment experience. Our licensed and highly trained teachers and tutors work closely with students, parents, and their current school to create a customized academic plan informed by a combination of psychoeducational test results, current transcripts, and state curriculum standards. Clients earn credits and improve their study skills and motivation, sometimes for the first time, while receiving the comprehensive treatment they need to heal. Our strengths-based approach to education recognizes that learning, like every other aspect of a young person’s experience, is inextricably intertwined with their self-esteem, well-being, and sense of empowerment. As teens progress in treatment, we see their academic engagement and motivation improve along with their mental health measures. To that end, we promote collaborative relationships with all healthcare payers to optimize the benefit coverage for families in need. We accept all major insurance, and up to 100 percent of our services are covered.
