Transcend Recovery Community has been helping clients build new lives since opening our first sober living home in Los Angeles in 2008. In addition to our men's sober living home in New York, we are now proud to offer a network of 6 sober living homes throughout the Los Angeles area, and men's and women's home in Houston, Texas. Built on a foundation of love, support, and acceptance, we are a sober living community intent to help others help themselves. Our Manhattan brownstone sober living home for men allows individuals to work towards their best life in a city of opportunity. Our impressive, multiple story brownstone, is only a few short blocks from Central Park and Riverside Park. Situated within a renowned cultural hub of New York, clients have easy access to numerous museums, restaurants, art galleries, and sports and music venues. At Transcend you are not alone. Transcend provides a community where we can all feel comfortable being perfectly imperfect beings. We are a recovery program that focuses on life skills, vocational training, and personal development. Our aim is to support others achieve a life of sustainable independence and growth with the guidance of our dedicated staff. We help our clients by exposing them to the abundant 12 step community as well as other evidence-based recovery methods. We help our members create a new and healthy lifestyle by combining a three-pronged approach of Accountability, Community, and Spirituality, with strong clinical collaboration. Transcend's immediate community is comprised of the existing clients in our homes, our positive and engaged alumni, and the staff members who embrace each client and help them feel accepted and safe. We also work with leading physicians and clinicians in the field of mental health to provide a collaborative, "team" approach to helping our members transition into a fulfilling and meaningful life. Transcend's Personalized and Unique Approach
Transcend provides many services that most sober living environments do not. We offer 24hr-awake staff coverage comprised of three full shifts, including an active graveyard shift to continually motivate and monitor our clients in their recovery. While most sober livings only provide a live-in manager, we have found it to be of extreme importance to always have multiple staff members available to our clients. In keeping with a truly holistic approach to recovery, Transcend provides four experiential groups for our clients every week. Topics range from acupuncture, meditation, mindfulness techniques, yoga, goal setting, to book study and spiritual expression. In addition to such engaging activities, each client is given a membership to an exclusive gym that offers a rigorous boxing program and a full spectrum of workout options. Though most sober living homes do not traditionally offer additional program features such as these, we are proud to do so at no added cost because we have found them to aid our clients' recovery.
