Healing for those who suffer
Community Healing Centers treats individuals and families who are experiencing mental health disorders primarily involving substance use (alcohol and/or drugs) and trauma. We have programs for infants, their parents, adolescents and adults. We offer adult inpatient treatment for substance use disorders in Kalamazoo, a crisis center in St. Joseph, outpatient facilities in Kalamazoo and Niles and recovery housing in Kalamazoo, Niles and Sturgis. We have specialized programs for children and women. We offer intensive outpatient programming. Our inpatient program offers detoxification from alcohol and/or drugs in a medically supervised setting followed by a short-term residential stay. Our outpatient services assist children, parents and adults achieve healing and recovery in person-centered individually designed programs. All of our therapists have master's degrees in social work, professional counseling or psychology. We offer individual and group therapy. We welcome individuals of all races, backgrounds, sexual and gender orientations.
We understand substance use and addiction
Since 2005, Community Healing Centers has been providing assistance to all ages working to recover from addictions to alcohol and/or drugs. We use the latest in evidence-based treatments, employing master's level clinicians with additional certification in alcohol and drug counseling. We understand the role of trauma and adverse childhood experiences. Our Children's Advocacy Center assists children who have been sexually abused and provides therapeutic services to the children and their families. All of our programs are individualized to meet the specific needs of the individuals who seek our services. For adults, we provide detox and residential services, followed by individually tailored outpatient services in Kalamazoo and Niles. In addition, we have special programs for women, especially those who have issues with child protective services. We offer recovery housing for men and women (including those with children) at sites in Sturgis, Kalamazoo and Niles. We also have a crisis center, Carol's Hope, in St. Joseph, where individuals can come to learn how to navigate their recovery journey.

Hope can begin with just a phone call or email. We understand how difficult it can be to sort out what to do and where to turn. Stigma sticks to substance use disorders and many people, even in the so-called helping professions, may not understand what you are going through. We have been dedicated to helping individuals just like you since 2005. We will guide you in your journey to recovery. We know this is not easy for the individual with the substance use disorder or their loved ones. We are able to assist individuals from all economic circumstances from those with no insurance to those with private insurance. We can serve as a guide to treatment options and will do our best to assist you and your family.
