This is a Mental Health Trauma Residential Extended Care Program treating dual diagnosis, trauma/PTSD, borderline personality disorder, addiction and eating disorder issues as well as other mental health issues, with a trauma base.
The Intensive Outpatient Program is for individuals who are living in safe sober homes during the program. The program will be the same format at the residential extended care program but spread out over more time with a 4 hour a day four day a week format that allows for time at home with children and partners as well as working in some cases. Session time is 80 or more hours a month until the client and staff agree that the client has finished the program (usually between 3 to 6 months.) In order to achieve lifelong sobriety, body image and trauma renegotiation, a person recovering from addiction, especially with a trauma base, must re-connect with the world around them, themselves, family, and friends. As an ongoing part of our counseling work, we utilize holistic lifestyle counseling as well as support networks for you and your families. These counseling sessions are supportive, non-confrontational and taught by our clinical staff.

AspenRidge Colorado Springs serves adults dealing with mental health challenges, addiction, or both at the same time. Many clients come in managing anxiety, depression, or trauma that has started affecting their relationships, work, and sense of self. For others, substance use is part of the picture too, and the two are often more connected than people realize. Some are functioning on the outside while struggling privately. Others have tried to get help before and need something that actually fits their life. Our clients need flexible, evidence-based care from clinicians who understand how complicated life really is.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment Centers
Formerly known as dual diagnosis or dual disorder, co-occurring disorders describe the presence of two or more disorders at the same time. For example, a person may suffer substance abuse as well as bipolar disorder.

Dual Diagnosis in Pitkin County, CO or dual disorder in Pitkin County, CO is the condition of suffering from a mental illness and a substance abuse problem. Just as the field of treatment for substance use and mental disorders has evolved to become more precise, so too has the terminology used to describe people with both substance use and mental disorders. The term co-occurring disorders Pitkin County, CO replaces the terms dual disorder or dual diagnosis. These latter terms, though used commonly to refer to the combination of substance use and mental disorders, are confusing in that they also refer to other combinations of disorders (such as mental disorders and mental retardation).

To provide appropriate treatment for this complex diagnosis, professionals recommend integrated treatment of people with COD based on current research that supports the efficacy of this treatment. Integrated treatment in Pitkin County, CO is a means of coordinating substance abuse and mental health interventions to treat the whole person more effectively in the context of a primary treatment relationship or service setting.

Integrated Dual Disorders Treatment Pitkin County, CO occurs when a person receives combined treatment for mental illness and substance use from the same clinician or treatment team. It helps people develop hope, knowledge, skills, and the support they need to manage their problems and to pursue meaningful life goals.
