At the Claudia Black Young Adult Center, we get right to the core of the presenting issues, whether it is an addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, and/or co-occurring conditions. With the clinical expertise of Claudia Black, Ph.D., a pioneer working with both family systems and addictions, we created the foundations of our cutting-edge program that specifically meets the needs of individuals ages 18-26. Our goal is to assist young adults to embrace the recovery process, wherein they take responsibility for their own emotional, mental, and physical healing; and to facilitate family healing and a healthier functioning family system. We believe that in spite of the complexity of mental health and/or addiction issues young adults face, they can launch into a life of accountability for self, greater connectedness within community and family, and at last find meaning and purpose.
