Each school-age patient who participates in our adolescent residential programs can continue to get a traditional education through our school, The Village Academy, located on the Village Behavioral Health campus. The Village Academy is a private school that has been approved by the Tennessee State Department of Education and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential.
