Achieving balance and fulfillment

Human Potential is open and we are committed to helping people manage the stress associated with the Coronavirus. For safety, we are currently doing counseling and medication management sessions by video-conferencing. It is very easy to do using your laptop computer or smartphone. We are also offering telephone sessions. At Center for Human Potential, located in downtown Salt Lake City, we focus on helping people achieve balance and fulfillment. We have many talented psychologists and social workers able to help children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with a variety of difficulties. We provide counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups. We also provide psychological and neuropsychological testing to help determine the causes of memory, learning, scholastic, and psychological problems. We accept most health insurance plans and offer a sliding fee scale, based on income level, for those without insurance. Center for Human Potential is open and we are committed to helping people manage the stress associated with the Coronavirus.

How we do therapy

We begin with a free phone consultation that focuses on understanding what you're going through and helping you find a therapist that will be the best fit for you. Our experienced and highly trained therapists utilize a variety of approaches, including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based therapy, motivational interviewing, play therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and other proven approaches. We'll help you gain a better understanding of the reasons for setbacks and obstacles, and provide you tools to overcome them. Counseling may seem scary, but we do everything possible to help you feel safe and supported in the process.

Who we work with

We provide counseling to adults, children, and adolescents. We also provide counseling and other support to businesses through our Employee Assistance Plan. In addition to the counseling that we provide at our office in downtown Salt Lake City, several of our therapists specialize in working with seniors and provide counseling in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities along the Wasatch Front.
