Holistic Modalities for Mental Health Recovery
Center for Authentic Living is a collaborative holistic practice in Park Ridge IL supporting those with mental health issues. We recently won the Business Hall of Fame 2018 to 2021 Park Ridge Award for counseling with quality. We bring a 30 year history of assisting clients in healing and continued recovery. CFAL provides psychotherapy for adults, couples, family, adolescents for trauma, eating disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and stress and pain management. We also support aftercare for IOP PHP, RES programs. We offer trauma coaching, somatic psychotherapy, shiatsu, and acupuncture. Our Holistic center offers integrative therapies such as (SSP) Safe and Sound Protocol, IFS, and meditation for physical and mental health related issues. We believe these integrative modalities promote health, wellness, and the necessary tools for a substantial recovery. The goal of these BodyCentered techniques is to assist in connecting with your inner experience with curiosity, to develop a more flexible approach in managing your symptoms, and to facilitate mindfulness while addressing these pieces that are stuck in present time. Our main concentration is complex trauma, depression, anxiety, addiction and the discovery of past trauma through the issues and behaviors that revolve around how the trauma presents itself. We believe in helping our clients to understand the root of their condition through a compassionate, holistic, and mindfulness approach. We are a multidisciplinary "trauma informed" team that offers expertise in integrative modalities for all aspects of recovery. We also offer holistic approaches in eastern medicine for health wellness and recovery. Our bodywork therapies: shiatsu, somatic movement, music therapy, sound healing, body mind acupressure, reiki, and somatic psychotherapy modalities address any distress from anxiety and stress management to chronic pain management. Bodywork Therapies are based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and have been known as “non-verbal psychotherapy.” These sessions help the client go into a deep state of relaxation, access emotional tension, and creates a doorway into the client’s process. Center for Authentic Living is celebrating its 30 year history in providing clinical outpatient treatment to individuals, couples, and families active in recovery, health and wellness. Our empathetic nature starts at our intake where the client will begin a supported journey. We provide adults, adolescents, couples, family and group therapy to address mental health issues, addictions, eating disorders, substance abuse, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and stress and pain management. Our 'trauma informed" team offers traditional and bodycentered psychotherapy, addictions counseling, CBT, DBT, (IFS) Internal Family Systems, trauma recovery coaching, (SSP) Safe and Sound Protocol, and Hakomi Psychotherapy. We also offer bodywork therapies such as shiatsu and body mind acupressure as treatment protocols addressing both mental and physicals health related issues during recovery.
