The goal of Balance Treatment Center Intensive Outpatient program is to provide our clients a path to long-term stability and well-being using a balanced approach that the clients will be able to follow in their daily lives.
Balance clients start with an intake assessment and diagnostic testing which will reveal possible emotional issues, social issues, educational issues or physical issues. Using the initial assessment, we will formulate an individualized treatment plan. At admission, the discharge planning needs of our clients are identified. We work closely with our clients to develop a comprehensive discharge plan to provide continuity of care and to assist our clients and their families in maintaining gains made throughout treatment. Balance IOP treatment will include psychotherapy, education and symptom management focusing on four components we believe to be developmental milestones: emotional, social, educational and physical. Only when all four of these components are addressed and in balance, can true recovery and stability be reached. Balance IOP utilizes evidence-based treatment modalities that have been shown to help reduce the symptomology of clients with mental health diagnoses.

Newport Academy offers treatment for teens between the ages of 12-17. We address these root causes through comprehensive, solution-focused treatment that involves the entire family in the healing process. To support our teens and their families in achieving long-term, sustainable healing, our clinical model takes into account every aspect of a teen’s well-being—physical, psychological, relational, educational, and spiritual—so they can thrive when they return home to their families, schools, and communities. Moreover, we are committed to ongoing research on the efficacy of our treatment. To ensure that our care is truly evidence-based, we track a variety of treatment goals and commission rigorous third-party evaluations of our programming. Data gathered on our outcomes using industry-approved measurement tools shows consistent positive results in measures of well-being, depression, and anxiety, with patients’ improvements, on average, exceeding levels of clinical significance.

The cost of treatment is one of the biggest obstacles in accessing care—and it doesn’t have to be. Many families don’t seek treatment because they don’t realize that affordable mental healthcare is an option. As recently as 20 years ago, clients were forced to pay out of pocket for mental health and substance abuse treatment. Today, many insurance payers cover outpatient and residential treatment programs, and they are much more willing to provide coverage when they know a program offers safe, effective, and clinically driven treatment. To support families in their efforts to access quality adolescent treatment, Newport Institute works with leading providers of healthcare insurance to provide financing options. We have built collaborative relationships with a wide range of healthcare payers, and are adding new In-Network partners on an ongoing basis. In addition, we excel in negotiating Single Case Agreements to allow coverage by out-of-network insurers. Our goal is to optimize the benefit coverage for families who are seeking affordable residential treatment or outpatient care.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program ( IOP) offers a half day of programming three to four days a week.
Evolve treats teens ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, substance use, or behavioral issues. We specialize in adolescent depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, personality disorders, substance use, dual diagnoses, suicidality and other issues. Many of our teens have difficulty regulating emotions and are engaging in high-risk/self-harm behaviors. Our team of highly qualified, licensed clinicians and medical professionals utilize evidence-based approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to teach teens practical skills for distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and improved impulse control. Through individual therapy, family therapy, group sessions, psychiatry, and experiential therapies (including art, music, yoga, fitness and more), your child will learn ways to manage stress, communicate appropriately, and lead a more fulfilled, productive life. Our programs are suited for teens who need a higher level of care than weekly psychotherapy, or for those looking for an appropriate transition from residential/inpatient treatment.
