At Evolve Woodland Hills, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, and other behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. We believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored, and our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week; weekly psychiatry sessions; groups on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, and Seeking Safety; and daily academic support. Teens also participate in experiential therapies proven to support recovery (e.g. equine, surf, art, drama, music, fitness, cooking, yoga, etc.) as well as 12-Step programs for those struggling with substance use/dual diagnoses.

Located in Sebastopol, California, Azure Acres Recovery Center offers comprehensive outpatient services that include a partial hospitalization program (PHP). Our PHP is available for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders. This level of care may be especially beneficial for people who do not require 24/7 monitoring but need structured treatment to achieve their wellness goals. Clients may enter the program directly or by stepping down from a higher level of care. The PHP meets Monday-Saturday for six hours each day. While the typical length of participation is 14-30 days, the actual program duration is determined on an individual basis. Interventions and techniques utilized at this level of care may include dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, recovery support groups, psychoeducational groups, art therapy, yoga, and recreational activities. In the PHP, clients have the opportunity to establish a solid support network and learn practical coping skills that they can implement in everyday situations.

Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Institute offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many young adults who receive treatment from Newport Institute using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Institute maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process.
