At Evolve, we provide the highest caliber of evidence-based residential treatment for adolescents 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, ADHD, self-harming or high-risk behaviors, suicidality, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and other emotional/behavioral issues. Our primary modes of treatment are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. At Evolve, we believe treatment works best when it is individually tailored. Our clinical staff conducts a comprehensive evaluation of each teen pre- and post-admission in order to develop a customized, highly detailed treatment plan that is constantly updated based on treatment progress. Our robust clinical program includes individual and family therapy; weekly psychiatry; academics; and groups on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, and Seeking Safety. Teens also participate in experiential therapies (e.g. equine, surfing, music, art, fitness, theater, yoga, and meditation) as well as 12-Step/SMART Recovery programs for those struggling with dual diagnoses.  

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment proven to help teens struggling with emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues. Evolve’s Comprehensive DBT residential treatment center is the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the entire country. Many of our teens struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, addiction or other high-acuity issues. We offer individual therapy (at least 3 times a week), family therapy (2 times a week, with out-of-state families participating remotely), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills-coaching (24/7). Evolve Treatment Centers supports adolescents ages 12-17 struggling with mental health, addiction, and/or behavioral issues. Our virtual Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs are geared towards teens whose symptoms and behaviors are disrupting their day-to-day home living. Teens in our Partial Hospitalization Program participate in our full day of structured programming five days a week. Teens in our Intensive Outpatient Program attend three hours of programming three/four days a week. Our programs serve as a smooth transition for teens stepping down from an inpatient or residential treatment program, or as a higher level of treatment for teens requiring more structure than just weekly outpatient therapy. In both telehealth programs, teens receive individual and family sessions, multiple group sessions a day, psychiatric evaluations and educational/academic support (all via HIPAA-compliant video conference). Teens also participate in experiential activities like music therapy, art therapy, meditation, and yoga. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, structured, and accepting environment where adolescents learn the skills necessary for sustainable recovery.

For out-of-state families, we conduct family therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conference. We also provide daily academic support to help your adolescent stay on track with school.
