I remember feeling as if I was being held down in the ocean and every time I attempted to get up, a wave would knock me over. I felt as if I was drowning over and over again. Addiction had me, and I thought I would have to spend the rest of my life gasping for a little bit of air. If you're experiencing something similar, please give us call. We are a team of counselors, life coaches, and administration, who have all gone down that similar hole, and made it out and into recovery. We are trained professionals, who are here to introduce you to a path of hope, strength, and happiness without drugs and alcohol.

Some people do not need residential treatment but could still benefit from more intensive treatment than weekly therapy sessions or group support meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous. This is where an intensive outpatient program works perfectly. Many of our patients find our outpatient program beneficial as a step-down treatment program after they have completed our residential program. They continue to receive the support and education they need to succeed but can live at home or in one of our sober living facilities. If you are looking to initiate treatment, it can be difficult to decide between residential or outpatient treatment. The majority of people get the most benefit from beginning with residential treatment and then moving to outpatient treatment. However, some people cannot take the time nor have the budget to enroll in a residential treatment program. In this instance, initiating treatment with an intensive outpatient program, such as the one at Pax House, will offer many of the same support mechanisms and educational tools to build a foundation for lifelong sobriety. If you are unsure of the appropriate level of care for your situation, you can call our admissions team at (877) 837-2393 and discuss your circumstances. They will help you decide upon the appropriate path for you or your loved one.

Our philosophy at Quest 2 Recovery is simple: heal the mind, body, and spirit in a family-like environment. We believe in a holistic approach to treatment, one that caters to each individual’s distinct needs. As a trauma-based treatment program, we believe in resolving the underlying issues that brought the onset of the substance use. Our team of clinicians help each client identify the faulty belief systems stemming from childhood, then psych-educate clients on the symptoms of PTSD in order to understand and alleviate the power of certain triggers. Our caring and compassionate team of professionals help clients increase their motivation to change, while teaching skills and strategies to achieve and maintain long term sobriety.

ACCEPTING CLIENTS NOW ** Our dual diagnosis program is designed to allow our clients to recover from substance abuse disorder in addition to emotional and psychological issues such as depression and anxiety. We encompass our treatment to include all aspects within the individual. The treatment for mental disorders alone will not instantaneously resolve the substance abuse disorder and resolving the substance abuse issues alone will not remedy the underlying mental health issues without proper intervention. This is accomplished with the help of our highly skilled, experienced, compassionate, and Graduate level clinical team.

Pillars Recovery can function as a step-down program for individuals who already completed more intensive treatment programs, whether at our Residential program or transitioning from another program. For example, individuals who completed a residential treatment or partial hospitalization program may still want some support and guidance as they reintegrate back into their daily lives, which is most often recommended to ensure a successful recovery. An intensive outpatient program offers that transition of independence individuals need to return to their daily lives without risking a relapse by ending treatment too early.

FAQs - About Treatment Centers and Rehab

How can I find a treatment center in Covina?

The Psychology Today Directory has customizable search options that show potential treatment centers tailored to your location, including inpatient or outpatient, the types of insurance accepted, and even the programs the center specializes in. Finding the right treatment center can be vitally important, and the dropdown filters make it easier to find the best fit for you or your loved one.

How do treatment centers work?

There are treatment centers for individuals dealing with psychiatric issues as well as for those dealing with substance use or addiction, or who are dealing with both, also known as co-occurring disorders. The type of program that is right for an individual depends on their medical and mental health history, the severity of the issues they are dealing with, as well as their treatment goals. Individuals using the directory can filter to find a center best-suited to them based on their gender, the issues they are facing, such as addiction or a mental health condition, or the type of treatments they are seeking.

What is the difference between inpatient and outpatient treatments?

In an inpatient or residential treatment program, individuals receive treatment while living in a facility and have 24/7 access to care by medical professionals. There are various forms of outpatient treatment that offer different levels of care, including Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOPs) and Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHPs). PHPs tend to offer more time-intensive, supervised care than IOPs. How do you get someone who refuses treatment into rehab?

If a person refuses treatment at first, it’s important for their loved ones to continue to express their concerns in a kind and respectful manner, and to periodically encourage them to get help. It can take time for someone dealing with addiction to gain the motivation to make a change. In the meantime, it can be helpful for loved ones to set boundaries with the individual and educate themselves on the many treatment options that exist in order to have more informed conversations regarding recovery.
