Valley Recovery Center provides residential treatment services for adult men suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring conditions. Our treatment team providers will evaluate the client’s medical health, mental health and substance use history in order to design an individualized treatment plan tailored to meet the varying needs of the client and his or her family. Clients reside in a non-institutional, home-like setting with private individual bedrooms that provide a safe and secure healing environment. Providing gender-specific treatment in a smaller group setting helps clients remain focused on the recovery process and strengthen trusting relationships. We have several homes located in the northern Los Angeles area and are licensed by the state of California and certified by The Joint Commission.

We are a highly experienced residential mental health treatment program with expertise in treating complex psychiatric issues. We are physician operated and we can provide highly advanced treatment options such as ketamine and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Our philosophy is to minimize medications as much as possible and provide one on one individualized treatment in an intimate small group environment. We service all adults and offer specialty treatment tracts that addresses the unique needs of seniors, students and chronic pain sufferers. Treatment is provided to only 6 clients at a time to provide highly individualized attention. Unlike most programs that advertise for mental health but are really substance abuse treatment programs, we are proud to be one of the very few double certified true mental health programs in existence. We are licensed and certified for advanced mental health crisis stabilization (which means our clinical program, staffing and services must be the most intensive and highest caliber).

Alter Behavioral Health - San Diego is a short-term crisis stabilization unit (CSU) for individuals struggling with an acute mental health crisis as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or other levels of care. Individuals generally come to our unit for care after experiencing suicidal ideation, a suicide attempt, severe anxiety, or generally unsafe behavior. In general, we treat individuals who are experiencing one or more of the following disorders: major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety, bipolar disorder, a personality disorder, a dissociative disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

NorthStar Transitions is a Joint Commission accredited facility that provides licensed drug and alcohol treatment for adults 18 and over. Our offerings include a full continuum of outpatient services such as Day Treatment (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. We accommodate a diverse client base through in-person (Boulder) and virtual formats, and we are in-network with a wide range of insurers, including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Beacon, Cigna, Compsych, Humana, Kaiser Permanente, Mines and Associates, Multiplan, Optum (United Healthcare/UMR), Poudre Valley School District, Rocky Mountain Health Plan, TriCare TriWest (VA), TRU Pace, and UCHealth Employee Plan. Designed to integrate with clients’ daily lives, our programs allow participants to continue working or attending school while receiving treatment.
