Comprehensive Programming
Burkwood Treatment Center, located in Hudson, Wisconsin, is a premier provider of addiction treatment for adults age 18 and older. In our addiction treatment programs, adults who have been struggling with substance use disorders can receive focused care from compassionate counselors and benefit from a range of effective therapies. We offer a residential program for clients who are seeking intensive substance use treatment services in a dedicated recovery environment. We also provide an intensive outpatient program (IOP) for adults who need regular, structured addiction treatment but do not require residential care. Each person who receives care in one of our addiction treatment programs has the chance to benefit from individualized support delivered by a committed team of professionals. At the residential level, treatment involves a minimum of 30 hours of programming per week, including a mix of individual and group counseling sessions. Additionally, we offer family therapy at the residential level on an as-needed basis. In our IOP, we provide group sessions three nights a week and offer individual and family therapies. Effective Therapies
Burkwood Treatment Center offers a unique and engaging combination of therapies to help people embrace recovery as a way of life. The treatment modalities we may incorporate into a person’s residential care plan include the Making Alcoholics Anonymous Easier (MAAEZ) program, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Twelve Step Facilitation (TSF), and our Way of Life System. At our residential addiction treatment center, we also offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR. EMDR is a therapy that is designed to help people find healing after experiencing trauma and other distressing life events. At our IOP location, we also provide highly focused programming that includes evidence-based approaches. We primarily use dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), CBT, and the 12-Step recovery model to help people in our intensive outpatient program achieve their therapeutic goals. By participating in our continuum of quality addiction care, adults can learn recovery skills, receive research-backed therapies, and benefit from peer support during group therapy sessions. Located in Hudson, Wisconsin, just 45 minutes by car from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Burkwood Treatment Center is a safe and supportive place to make strides in your recovery. You’ll find our residential facility on a quiet cul-de-sac in a peaceful rural setting. At Burkwood, we take pride in delivering comprehensive residential rehab services and are pleased to offer a range of unique supports for clients, including MAAEZ, co-occurring mental health treatment, and medication management services. Some clients may also receive medication-assisted treatment (MAT) during their time at our facility, depending on their needs. Our addiction treatment center strives to offer a holistic recovery experience, incorporating recreational programming like yoga, volleyball, and trips to Willow River State Park to support each person’s unique road to well-being. When someone completes our rehab programming, they may step down to our IOP to continue their recovery journey. Our intensive outpatient program is also conveniently located in Hudson, close to Interstate 94.
