Short-term Intensive Treatment for Teens
Our adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) and intensive outpatient program (IOP) are designed to be less restrictive, yet intensive treatment services offered to teens (ages 13-18) experiencing significant and serious mental and/or emotional issues. Usually our patients are struggling with suicidal ideation, past suicide attempts, school refusal, social anxiety, intense anxiety and depression symptoms, ADHD, and other co-occurring mental health disorders that inhibit them from being able to engage effectively in multiple areas of their lives. Our clinicians are LGBTQIA+ affirming and familiar with navigating the challenges of engaging teens in their own mental healthcare.
Program Offerings
In PHP, treatment includes individual and family therapy, medication management, mental health education, skills training, and other activities. As an intermediate treatment, the daytime Monday through Friday PHP level of care can help support teens after an inpatient stay or in hopes of avoiding one entirely. In IOP, our teens continue to work with their outpatient therapist and psychiatric provider while attending group therapy after school with us three days per week and engage in DBT-informed psychoeducation and skills-based groups to support their treatment goals.
Increasing Access to Care
There are limited options for mental health treatment for teens at this level of care and with private insurance. Our hope is that our programs will expand the options for treatment for those who need more support, because being a teen is already hard enough.
