Proudly serving Northeast Florida's substance abuse and mental health needs for 20+years, Breakthroughs Counseling & Recovery Inc. offers a variety of counseling services including (but not limited to): Counseling for general mental health, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma, marriage and family (including pre-marital counseling), LGBTQ, bariatric counseling, and military & families counseling; An intensive outpatient treatment program (IOP) for drug and alcohol abuse/ dependence ; A family support group for those affected by an alcoholic or addict in their lives; Impaired Practitioner Network (IPN) for medical professionals; and classes for Northeast Florida Safety Council. Substance Abuse Treatment- Alcohol & Drug Rehab
Breakthroughs Counseling & Recovery in Jacksonville, Florida offers a number of services for drug & alcohol abuse and addiction treatment. An assessment is required to determine appropriate level of services (listed below) for the person with the substance abuse or addiction issue. Services for drug and alcohol problems can begin with individual substance abuse or addictions counseling. Breakthroughs Counseling & Recovery has a number of therapists and counselors on staff who provide drug & alcohol abuse and addiction counseling. A second level of services offered for drug and alcohol abuse and addiction is our drug and alcohol addiction rehab treatment Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). Our IOP program consists of 20 days of intensive outpatient treatment consisting of group and individual therapy, education about addiction, and development of pro-abstinence tools for living. Our IOP staff is trained in substance abuse and have as much as 30 years experience treating drug and alcohol addictions. Our drug and alcohol addiction rehab treatment IOP program is certified and licensed by the Department of Children and Families in the State of Florida. We are an LGBTQ friendly treatment facility.

Breakthroughs: Counseling & Recovery, Inc.'s Groups
Adult IOP for Substance Abuse- a.m. or p.m.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment- Patient lives at home or in a sober living facility and attends groups daily for an average of 20 sessions. Incoming patients can choose either morning or evening programs. Morning group meets 5 sessions per week (M-F, 9 a.m.- 12 a.m.). Evening group meets 4 sessions per week (6 p.m.- 9 p.m.). Groups consist of group therapy, psychoeducation, and relapse prevention. Weekly family groups are held on Thursday evenings. IOP is appropriate for all forms of alcohol and drug dependence: Opiate/ pain medication, Cocaine, Marijuana, Spice, K2, Ecstasy, Alcohol, benzodiazepines.
