Addiction and unbalanced mental health is a lonely path, leaving individuals navigating life in isolation, resulting in a lack of true support and connection to others outside of the bonds formed during active addiction. Our holistic wellness model fosters community, restores a sense of spirituality, and provides individuals with the opportunity to address severely neglected areas of life, which encompasses social, financial, and physical health needs. The benefits of sharing a daily space with other individuals navigating a life free from addiction provide an experience of acceptance and the opportunity for social learning in a safe and nurturing environment. Yoga, Tai Chi, and Acupuncture provide the opportunity to learn how to quiet the mind and begin the healing process from within, individuals learn to shift their focus within, tapping into inner strength and wisdom needed to navigate the journey of recovery. These holistic healing methods also offer relief from emotional trauma, stress relief, anxiety, and chronic pain.
We at Breakthrough Recovery Outreach believe in holistic healing as the foundation for sustainable recovery. We treat individuals starting at age 13 –throughout adulthood, who are affected by addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges, in Atlanta, GA and beyond. We teach our teens and adults to “Trust in the Process” as we assist them on the journey from hopelessness and self-destruction, to a place of empowerment, purpose, and resilience. Our research-based methods, a team of compassionate and dedicated professionals, 12 step philosophy in combination with our Mind, Body, and Spirit approach, exposes underlying issues that contribute to ongoing cycles of behaviors that erode the fabric of the individual and the family system.
We believe each human is worthy of recovery and deserves freedom from mental health challenges and the disease of addiction. We have witnessed the power of recovery since 2005, and have been privileged to serve individuals and families all over the country and throughout the state of Georgia. We know that recovery is possible and believe that hope lies within the walls of Breakthrough Recovery Outreach. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-Teens/Adults
This group teaches residents practical behavioral skills for tolerating distress, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation and being able to stay in the present moment (mindfulness). Clients are referred to this group for various reasons, including but not limited to: relapse prevention, being easily overwhelmed, deficits in relationship skills, difficulty accessing emotions and poor boundaries.

ASAM Level 1 - Risk Reduction
An ASAM Level Program that runs a minimum of 17 weeks but can last up to 52 weeks. The amount of time designated for treatment sessions depends on a client's compliance and progress within the program. Each weekly session consists of 3 hours of alcohol and drug education, life-skills and group therapy.
