Treatment Philosophy and Clients Served
At Beyond the Individual, our philosophy encompasses the understanding that behavioral health services provided in a flexible manner using evidence-based frameworks leads to lasting and effective change. We specialize in providing highly individualized services to address complex behavioral and psychological profiles with neurodevelopmental profiles including autism, ADHD, and intellectual disabilities, obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety, and externalizing disorders. We work as a team to provide assessment and treatment services that are tailored to each individual client to meet their needs with our services provided in the office, via telehealth, and in home/community-based settings. We work with clients across the lifespan from infant through older adults and will work with both the individual and systems surrounding them to make meaningful progress and change. Treatment Approach
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to treatment, but there is good evidence for the types of treatments that work fit individuals. Staff at Beyond the Individual utilize a person-centered behavioral approach to help clients meet their goals. While all of our service providers utilize this approach, different staff specialize in different behavioral therapies. Current therapies provided include: Applied behavior analysis (ABA), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and exposure and response prevention (ERP). We utilize a strengths-based approach and focus on helping clients build new skills. Staff at Beyond the Individual also provide individualized diagnostic, psychoeducational, and functional behavioral assessments to help individuals with service access and to help guide treatment and related services.
