Adolescent Inpatient Treatment
At Belmont Behavioral Health System, we offer acute inpatient treatment for teens ages 13-17 who are struggling with acute symptoms of mental health concerns. Inpatient treatment is designed to be a short-term level of care that can help individuals in crisis achieve stabilization. Generally, our adolescent inpatient program lasts for about two weeks, but each patient’s actual program duration is based on their needs. Adolescents in the inpatient program can benefit from round-the-clock supervision from a caring team of professionals. Our staff has a shared goal of helping each patient learn more about their diagnosis and gain the insight they need to improve overall functioning in school, at home, and in their community. We recognize the individual strengths of our patients and deliver customized care that can help them build on their inherent skills. When a young person takes part in our inpatient program, they can receive the focused support they need to make positive behavior changes and achieve to their highest potential. Treatment Approach
At our treatment center, we understand the unique needs of adolescents, and we are committed to providing developmentally appropriate care. Our mission is to help young people in crisis stabilize so that they can return home or step down to a less restrictive level of care. To best support our patients, we provide individualized treatment plans that reflect their needs and preferences. At the time of admission, we conduct an in-depth assessment to learn more about each patient’s symptoms, health and treatment history, and goals for the program so that we can select the interventions that will offer them the greatest benefit. Each adolescent’s care may incorporate trauma-informed services, such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and Seeking Safety therapy, and an array of evidence-based interventions. Depending on the patient’s needs, their care may also include basic medical care, medication management services, and individual, family, and group therapies. Therapy can help young people develop valuable coping and communication skills as well as establish interpersonal relationships to improve their social wellness. Our Treatment Center
Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, our inpatient hospital serves residents of the Philadelphia County area and the surrounding communities. The safety of our patients is a top priority, and we are proud to provide a secure setting where those in need can receive continual supervision and round-the-clock care.
