No Cost 24-hour Psychiatric Urgent Care Facility
The Behavioral Health Urgent Care Center (BHUCC, pronounced “Buck”) is a place where people experiencing a mental health crisis can be stabilized. It is an alternative to a hospital ER, but for mental health. For 12 adults plus separate area for 6 teens age 13 to 17. Patients may stay up to 24 hours. In Long Beach and City of Industry.
Also a Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. where clients can be evaluated and can receive medications on a very short-term basis. Walk-ins welcome (call ahead for wait times.)
