Who We Are
At Beachside Recovery Interventions + Consulting, we focus on and value exhibiting two main treatment characteristics - clinical competency and ethics. In addition to these two very important qualities we feel any practice should possess, we value the human condition. By this we mean that in addition to our education and degrees, we acknowledge our own human experiences that have molded us into who we are as people and practitioners. Empathy, compassion, and emotional resilience are three important qualities which all of our therapists possess and act as essential pillars to our therapeutic approach. In addition to traditional therapeutic orientations, we employ unique and creative therapeutic approaches including, but not limited to, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), surf therapy, animal assisted therapy, music therapy, bibliotherapy, cinema therapy, and art therapy. We believe in critical thinking and creative expression. In addition to general outpatient practice, we specialize in serving high acuity patients and the criminal justice population. In addition to being an outpatient mental health program, we aid in a variety of extraordinarily difficult situations. Our Team has been qualified in eight different Judicial Courts throughout Florida. We specialize in clinical mitigation of mental health and substance use related felony charges to help our patients get the treatment they require in lieu of incarceration. We go into the jail, or if the patient is out of custody they come to the office, and we conduct thorough evaluations to determine appropriateness for care and develop a preliminary clinical impression. We then work to develop an individualized treatment plan based on three key components - clinical impression/diagnosis, legal, and psychosocial factors. Most importantly, we work with our patients, their attorneys, and their treatment team, from start to finish, to enhance their potential to meet maximum therapeutic gains. We also bring this model to the general population in the form of clinical interventions. In addition to forensic evaluations and interventions, we have a true DBT outpatient program , conduct transports, family coaching sessions, organizational health, and consultations. How We Do It
We are everyday people, who have had unique life experiences, who utilize those experiences, along with critical thinking skills, to aid patients in the most difficult of situations. Our staff of naturally talented practitioners are hand picked by our Founder to intentionally possess a personal history of interaction with the legal system, recovery, high acuity family conflict, and other difficult psychosocial experiences, who have made it out on the other side, to compliment their education, to help in a way that is unique to only Beachside Recovery.
