Partners of sex addicts often experience debilitating trauma symptoms as a result of all the complexities of being in relationship with an individual addicted to sex. Banyan Intensive Outpatient Program
The Banyan 6-week Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a program for clients struggling with sex and pornography addiction. It is customized and designed around your schedule in order to accommodate responsibilities such as work and family commitments. Many clients need a higher level of care but cannot afford to attend inpatient treatment due to financial concerns and not being able to take the time away from work. Banyan’s IOP is a cost effective way to get the help you need while maintaining your daily responsibilities. During the program clients will experience intensive treatment designed to help them manage the crisis caused by addiction, gain the tools necessary to gain lasting sobriety, build their support network and be equipped with resources to manage their ongoing recovery. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT49986), a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC327), a Certified Clinical Partner Specialist, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor, and am EMDR trained. I specialize in treating sex addicts, their partners and families. In addition to treating sex addiction, I have years of experience working with adults, adolescents, couples, and groups on issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, relational difficulty, and spirituality. As a Christian raised in the church, I can appreciate the impact faith can have, both positively and negatively. Additionally, I also have a masters degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. I respect if you do not want to include faith, religion, or spirituality in therapy, but if you do I am qualified to do so. My passion is to help my clients restore relational, mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wholeness to their lives. I understand that it can be overwhelming to begin this process, so my goal is to provide a safe environment where you can grow and heal. Betrayed Partners Group (Women)
Our Betrayed Partner's Group offers a place of safety and support for women who are in relationship with a sex addict. We take a trauma approach in the group, understanding that the impact of sexual addiction on a relationship and on a partner is traumatic. Our goal is to help the women in our group receive support, and to empower themselves to thrive. This group is co-facilitated by myself and a female colleague. This group is designed to help male pornography addicts in recovery receive support and gain understanding about addiction. We will use this time to help build insight about the addictive cycle, its impact on the capacity for emotional intimacy, and development of a concrete recovery plan.
