This expansion into Waelder is Banyan’s first Texas facility providing detoxification and residential addiction treatment services. These levels of care treat dual-diagnosis cases; people struggling with both substance use disorders and mental health disorders. The expansive property offers serenity and privacy, yet is still less than an hour away from Austin, one hour from San Antonio, and approximately an hour and a half from downtown Houston. Clients can rehabilitate surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife in this former world-class lodge which includes a fishing pond, walking trails, chef-prepared meals, fitness center, fully equipped cabin-style rooms, stone fireplace, shuffleboard, swimming pool, and commercial kitchen and dining areas. Banyan Texas programming includes acudetox, experiential art therapy, CBT, DBT, 12-step education, gender-specific therapy groups, Faith in Recovery programming, life skills, relapse prevention, anger management, individual, group, and family therapy. Medical Detox
Banyan Texas offers a full medical detox, providing the highest standards in safety and comfort for our patients to begin their recovery process. Patients can expect to receive daily medical supervision and nursing staff is available 24 hours a day. Medications are administered through a strict and specific protocol, targeting successful and safe detoxification from chemicals of abuse or dependence. Our goal at Banyan is to provide the most secure and comfortable detoxification process in the industry and all treatment and supervision is provided in accordance with legal, clinical, and accreditation guidelines. Residential Treatment
The Residential Program at Banyan Texas is the next step in treatment after completing the detox process. This program is a "live-in" treatment setting, where patients still have access to around the clock medical services. Our Residential Program is setup to ensure that the individual has completely monitored care during the transition from detox. Addiction treatment is the only focus at the residential level of care. Patients may begin to participate in recreational activities under close supervision off site such as hiking, walking, and other offsite adventures. This is still a vulnerable time in early recovery, so constant care is vital. Groups are held daily, and treatment includes weekly individual therapeutic sessions for each patient.
