Asheville Academy is the leading therapeutic boarding school for girls and afab students ages 10-14. Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, our private 97-acre campus provides a tranquil environment where students can reflect, heal, and overcome emotional and academic challenges. Our family-focused program is uniquely designed to help younger students develop the skills to expand their resiliency, manage and communicate their emotions, and most importantly, strengthen their relationships with themselves and family members.

At Asheville Academy, we help our students develop higher brain functioning– a better understanding of emotions, consequences for behaviors, and how to cope and make better choices in the future. We have a strong personalized family therapy program that heals the entire family unit and restores meaningful and deeper connections. We utilize psychoeducational tools, parent-to-parent discussions, and skills-based webinars to help you parent your unique child. We also utilize equine and animal therapy in order to teach students healthy boundaries and expands students’ resiliency zone for lifelong success.
