Behavioral Health Services

We serve individuals, couples and families across the lifespan from children age 3 to seniors to empower them to rise above life's challenges. Our clinical staff consists of specialists in a wide variety of areas allowing us to match services to client needs. We provide the highest quality and compassionate care that you can trust to each person we serve using research based proven therapies. Religious, ethnic and gender preferences are accommodated upon request. We are LGBTQ affirmative. Treatment programs we offer include trauma and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) group therapy, and medication management for adolescents and adults. Our specialties include EMDR for trauma, Family Function Therapy, Gottman Couple Therapy, CBT, CPT and DBT. We are committed to providing quick access to services with extended hours, including Saturdays.

Clinical Staff

We have three Behavioral Health Clinics (Salt Lake County; Davis County; Utah County) and a Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment Center for Chemical Dependency in Taylorsville. Our caring staff includes over thirty therapists, board-certified psychiatrists, a psychiatric mental health nurse and advanced practice registered nurses. Our experienced clinicians have at least five years of post-licensure experience and at least one specialty. The experience of our staff allows us to match clients with clinicians that will provide the best care and medication assisted therapies if needed. Our clinical staff goes the extra mile to serve client's needs. We are committed to providing the newest treatments that have demonstrated proven outcomes. We are committed to quality treatment and excellent customer service to every client we serve.

Quick Access to Services

Ascendant is committed to providing quick access to our services. We are usually able to get clients into treatment within 48 to 72 hours from the time of request. We have extended business hours including Saturdays to accommodate our client's schedules. For convenience New Client forms are available on our website, ascendentclinics.com. We accept most insurance plans and Bishop pay. We offer reasonable self-pay rates.

Ascendant Behavioral Health Clinics's Groups

DBT Group for Adolescents

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group for youth age 13-18. This group teaches coping skills, improves self esteem, and decreases acting out behaviors in teens. DBT has research behind it and produces great outcomes. We have a DBT certified therapist who specializes in adolescent issues running the group. Some parent participation is required.

DBT GROUP to help with self esteem, emotional regulation, addictions, interpersonal issues and depression/anxiety issues.
