Adolescent Mental Health Treatment
Ascend’s Adolescent Residential Treatment program is an intensive inpatient mental health program for teens who are struggling with severe mental health challenges. This level of care is optimal for youth who may be experiencing significant impairments in day to day life as a result of their depression, suicidality, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or other challenges. Our residential treatment program is an integral part of our overall treatment programs with the goal of helping improve the lives of the youth of our community. Ascend Behavioral Health is the only place in the Central Valley where teens have the opportunity to be carefully guided through a smooth transition across our continuum of care that includes a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) when they are preparing to step down from inpatient residential treatment. We are committed to helping change the trajectory of lives and providing strength and resiliency to the lives of our community’s youth no matter how severe the struggles are. Ascend Behavioral Health is the Fresno’s only private, teen mental health Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Our program is run by talented and experienced mental health clinicians that use evidenced based treatment to help restore health and functioning in teens that are struggling with mental health concerns. Our PHP program serves teens with a wide range of mental health conditions. This includes teens suffering from depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, anger issues, trauma, personality disorders, and more. PHP is a great transition for those discharging from inpatient and/or residential programs. Ascend’s PHP meets Monday through Friday, from 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. Ascend’s IOP program offers the highest quality mental health care available for kids and teens. Our expertly designed curriculum, combined with the knowledge and experience of our therapists, gives you the skills and tools you need to succeed in life. Topics may include learning about mental health symptoms, learning coping skills and how to use them, learning how to understand and control emotions, learning about relationships and how to navigate them, and more.
