Our clinical program includes individual and family therapy at least 5 times a week, weekly psychiatry sessions, daily groups such as DBT Skills, Anger Management, Seeking Safety, and Relapse Prevention, and daily academic support. Valley Recovery Center provides residential treatment services for adult men suffering from substance abuse and co-occurring conditions. Our treatment team providers will evaluate the client’s medical health, mental health and substance use history in order to design an individualized treatment plan tailored to meet the varying needs of the client and his or her family. Clients reside in a non-institutional, home-like setting with private individual bedrooms that provide a safe and secure healing environment. Providing gender-specific treatment in a smaller group setting helps clients remain focused on the recovery process and strengthen trusting relationships. Dialectical Behavior Therapy has a high success rate in adolescents with depression, anxiety, high emotional sensitivity, self-harm, and/or suicidal behaviors. Our program incorporates all four requirements of a formal Comprehensive-DBT program: individual/family therapy, 24/7 in-the-moment skills coaching, skills training groups, and weekly staff consultation team. (For out-of-state families, we conduct family therapy sessions via HIPAA-compliant video conference.) Alhambra Valley Retreat (AVR) is a 24 hour residential treatment program for adult males suffering from alcohol and/or substance abuse. The program is licensed and certified by the State of California, Department of Health Care Services, and in 2021 received a three year accreditation by The Commission on Accredited Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). AVR is credentialed by Kaiser Permanente as a provider of services to over two million insured clients throughout Northern California. The program accepts all Kaiser clients in this region. AVR also accepts cash pay. The program is designed to treat 6 clients at a time, which allows for individualized treatment plans and personal attention to our resident's needs.The treatment program includes individual, group and family therapy with licensed therapists, addiction educational sessions, and recovery and treatment planning designed to help each client transition back to their community after successful treatment stay.
