The San Francisco Bay Area Center for Cognitive Therapy has been committed to providing empirically-supported, ethical, and compassionate care to the Bay Area community for the past 20 years. We are a group of 7 psychologists trained to provide high-quality cognitive behavioral therapy in a private practice setting. We are not a Crisis Center. We treat a wide range of problems, including depression, anxiety disorders (OCD, panic, phobias), social anxiety, executive functioning challenges and insomnia. We also serve as a source of high-quality professional training for clinicians, and disseminate information about CBT to both consumers and professionals.

Center For Discovery has been providing excellent behavioral health treatment since treating our first client in 1997. For over 30 years, The Camp Recovery Center has provided life-saving substance abuse & co-occurring disorder treatment that has helped numerous adolescents and adults live happy, healthy lives. Located in Scotts Valley, California, The Camp Recovery Center offers residential treatment to adults age 18 and older who are struggling with a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health concerns. Common issues that we treat adults for at this level include addiction to drugs or alcohol and any protentional underlying mental health disorders. Adults can benefit from residential care when they need 24-hour support with a highly structured therapy schedule. Those who are currently using drugs or alcohol might begin their treatment with detoxification. We offer medically assisted detox to help people rid their bodies of addictive substances and achieve stabilization. Once someone begins residential treatment, they receive therapy several times each week along with medication management. The typical length of stay at this level of care is about 30-90 days, however, this time will vary based on individual concerns.

Our detoxification services help adolescents rid their bodies of drugs or alcohol so they can focus on their treatment plans. Residential care includes a structured therapy schedule with 24-hour support. The typical length of stay at this level is about 30-90 days depending on each adolescents’ specific concerns and goals.

Evolve Walnut Creek offers premier mental health, substance use, and dual diagnosis treatment for teens ages 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, self-harming/high-risk behaviors, addiction, suicidality, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Conduct disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and other emotional/behavioral issues. At Evolve, we cater exclusively to adolescents. Our treatment team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, licensed therapists, on-site nurses, counselors and 24-hour support staff. We offer a safe, supportive, warm home environment for teens to stabilize and learn practical ways to improve their emotional health. At Youth Care Treatment Center, we understand that adolescents have unique needs when it comes to behavioral health treatment. At our campus, we offer age-appropriate care through our adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) in Draper, Utah. We provide treatment for young people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), conduct disorders, and attachment disorders. Adolescents ages 13-18 can participate in our PHP and receive targeted therapeutic interventions for nine hours per day, five days per week. This treatment option is ideal for young people who don’t require round-the-clock residential care but would still benefit from intensive therapies. At Youth Care, we understand that every young person's healing journey is unique. Therefore, we believe in personalizing their treatment plan as much as possible. Every adolescent’s experience is different, but most young people participate in our PHP for four to five months. In our PHP, adolescents can engage in several different therapies, such as individual therapy up to three times a week, family therapy once a week, and daily group therapies.

Quest is an innovative group program for kids 5-19, utilizing the natural environment of play to teach better emotional and social skills. Kids with mild to moderate emotional, learning and social problems participate in our 6-week summer (minimum 3 wk attendance) or 2 hr/week Afterschool program with licensed therapists and counselors developing individualized treatment plans based on need. Parents utilize Quest therapeutic techniques at home and receive written and verbal feedback on progress and effective approaches. New Directions is now offering a group treatment telehealth program. We can now provide treatment for clients who live anywhere within the State of California. Telehealth is an innovative way to participate in our group treatment program and allows clients to connect with the therapist and one another in real time. It is easy to use and requires a computer with webcam , speakers and internet access. All communications are confidential and comply with privacy standards. We offer: Intimate group settings with a limit of 8 in a group 15 weeks intensive outpatient treatment, groups meet 3 times a week Group therapy facilitation by a licensed therapist Consultation with a nutritionist and/or registered dietitian Coordination with your primary care provider and/or therapist Individualized food plans prepared by our nutritionist. The Anxiety Treatment Center is the first & only treatment program in California and the U.S. that offers Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient Treatment, a Hoarding Disorder Program, Phobia Track, and Equine Assisted Activity Program (EAA) specializing in OCD and anxiety disorders. This includes Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Trichotillomania, and Excoriation Disorder, to name a few.. This facility provides the frontline treatment protocols for these conditions which includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). This integrative approach is the only scientifically proven treatment modality shown to produce chemical changes in the brain leading to decreased anxiety and improved functioning. About Anxiety: Anxiety is the result of fear. When we are afraid, our body responds by producing physiological symptoms such as heart palpitations, sweating, trembling or shaking, shortness of breath, dizziness, and chest pain. These symptoms tend to produce a "fight or flight response" causing us to take action so twe can be "safe." Typically ones instinct is to go into a "flight" response, rather than stay and "fight" what is scaring us. Hence, we often times see individuals whose lives have become significantly limited due to avoidance of the situations that are producing the anxiety.

We use virtual reality technology as an evidence-based approach to treat various psychological disorders. One of the main issues treated using VRET is post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). VRET enables individuals with PTSD to confront their fears in a safe and controlled environment, gradually reducing their anxiety levels. Another significant issue treated using VRET is phobias. Phobias are characterized by an excessive and irrational fear of specific objects or situations. By using virtual reality, individuals with phobias can experience real-life scenarios that trigger their fear, helping them overcome their anxiety and develop coping strategies. VRET is also used to treat anxiety disorders, such as social anxiety and generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). These disorders are characterized by excessive worry, fear, and apprehension. By immersing individuals in a virtual environment that simulates social situations or anxiety-provoking situations, VRET helps desensitize them to the triggers and develops coping strategies for managing anxiety.
