Evolve Woodland Hills offers premier mental health, substance use, and dual diagnosis treatment for teenagers ages 12-17 struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harming/high-risk behaviors, addiction, suicidality, ADHD, conduct disorder, and other emotional/behavioral issues. At Evolve, we cater exclusively to adolescents. Our treatment team includes a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, licensed therapists, on-site nurses, counselors and 24-hour support staff. We focus on what we do best: creating a safe, supportive, warm home environment for teens to stabilize themselves and learn practical ways to improve their emotional health and wellbeing. It’s research-proven that the teenage population has specific clinical needs that differ from other age groups. A specialty program like ours can be a safer experience and promote better recovery for your child than other programs which include adults. At Evolve Woodland Hills, your child or teen will receive individual/family therapy at least five times a week, psychiatric evaluations weekly, and daily group sessions on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills, Anger Management, Relapse Prevention, and Seeking Safety. Evolve prides itself on staff training and education to ensure we provide the most current, data-driven treatments for our clients. We invest heavily in our clinicians' DBT training, which has been proven to improve emotion regulation and reduce self-harming behaviors in adolescents struggling with substance use, mental health, and dual diagnosis. DBT teaches teens how to control their impulses better, manage stress, stay mindful, and communicate appropriately and effectively. Our Executive Clinical Director is a respected DBT specialist and intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech (America’s premier DBT institute). She ensures our clinicians utilize DBT – as well as other evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, and 12-Step approaches – in the most effective ways possible.
