About
State Licensed, Multiple Locations, Low Cost
We believe that the success of the client depends on the assistance they receive from the providing agencies. By providing multiple locations, day, evening and weekend scheduling along with reasonable fees, we are allowing the client a greater opportunity to achieve success and compliance. Arizona Behavioral Counseling addresses the needs of each individual by using a series of assessment inventories which provide insight into the clients behavioral and substance abuse history. Utilizing the information provided by the referring agency, assessment tools, and the interview process, we are able to define the appropriate type of education and/or treatment for each client.
Screening, MVD, Substance Use
The screening evaluates client issues involving DUI, Substance Abuse, Domestic Violence, Anger, Depression, Suicide and Trauma. The identified issues are matched with the type and duration of program required by Arizona Department of Health Services. ADOT/MVD requires an evaluation as part of a revoked driver's license reinstatement process. The evaluation determines if substance abuse issues affect driver's license reinstatement.16 Hour DUI Education is a program for the client with only one DUI or other substance related issue and no other symptom of substance use disorder. It meets Arizona's DUI Level II Education requirements and addresses DUI law, impaired driving, and the impact of alcohol and other substance use on a person's health, brain, family and future. 36/54/72/90 Hour Treatment programs meet the requirements for Level I DUI Treatment for clients with substance use disorder. They utilize cognitive behavioral group counseling with Matrix Early Recovery Skills Program to motivate develop and maintain a substance free lifestyle. Level II DUI education is included. We also offer an 18 Hour Addictive Substance Use Education for the client with only one substance related (not a DUI) citation for substance paraphernalia, possession or under the influence.
Domestic Violence Offender Treatment
These programs meet the state requirements for Domestic Violence Offender Treatment. They utilize cognitive behavioral group counseling to motivate, develop and maintain a violence free and substance free lifestyle. Clients learn to identify, process and disengage from abusive attitudes and violent behavior. Clients are taught peaceful conflict resolution, relationship and parenting skills. Substance abuse issues and recovery are also addressed in each session. We also offer Positive Alternatives Behavioral Treatment programs which are designed for clients who engaged in non-domestic conflicts, destructive and/or defiant criminal behavior (i.e. assault, property damage, road rage, shoplifting, theft, etc.) These programs utilize cognitive behavioral group counseling to address and motivate change for thought patterns, behaviors and emotional reactions that have become destructive for the client.
