About
Specialized Anxiety and OCD Treatment for Youth
Anxiety Institute in Greenwich, Connecticut provides specialized treatment for adolescent and young adults suffering with anxiety disorders, OCD and trauma, along with other issues often associated with anxiety including school avoidance and school refusal, social avoidance, perfectionism, procrastination, and insomnia. Using proven, evidence-based therapies, Anxiety Institute’s model integrates Exposure Therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helping clients increasingly face, elicit, and experience anxiety to develop the grit needed to conquer anxiety, the resilience to regulate mood, and the courage to foster independence.
Integrative services to support recovery
Anxiety Institute provides support commensurate with the severity of symptoms. The Intensive Outpatient Day Program is designed for school-avoidant clients with moderate to severe anxiety. Individual therapy is offered after school/work with the frequency and intensity of treatment based on severity of impairment. Continuing Recovery services are designed for clients returning from a residential program. Family coaching, consultation and support groups are integral to treatment, ensuring parent success in their critical role during the recovery process. Anxiety Institute’s Board-certified, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist promotes integrative and relationship-focused treatment, where interventions related to health, wellness, and medication have equal value. Our pharmacological treatment of anxiety is approached from a minimalist perspective, where medications support the recovery process, with the goal of eventual discontinuation.
Break free from the grip of anxiety
Our singular goal is to free clients from disabling anxiety, using an approach that directly addresses emotional, behavioral and physical symptoms. We partner with you to provide the latest evidence-based protocols to target and treat conditions that interfere with home, school, and social life.
