Who We Are

Newport Institute provides mental health treatment to young adults ages 18–27, guiding them from self-destruction to self-esteem and resilience, by identifying and healing the underlying issues that cause maladaptive behaviors. Based in compassion and founded on clinical excellence, our integrated, comprehensive approach to care addresses all aspects of an emerging adult’s life—setting the stage for autonomy and self-empowerment. At Newport Institute, every client receives care that focuses not just on their immediate physiological needs, but also on the underlying psychological issues that catalyze what is being seen on the surface. Through a team of industry experts, Newport Institute provides compassionate and effective healing centers that address the specific needs of young adults. Using proven modalities and applying innovative treatment approaches, our results-driven programs empower young people to reach their full potential. We recognize in every individual the inherent desire for meaning, purpose, and belonging, and our programs provide the skill sets needed to move from self-defeating behaviors to a thriving life.

Our Treatment Model

For this age group, lack of self-esteem and unresolved trauma can lead to ongoing mental health and substance use issues, or challenges that arise as they leave home and begin to lead more independent lives. Our whole-person approach nurtures the physical, psychological, and educational needs of young adults from a foundation of compassionate care and clinical expertise. From the healing environment to the carefully crafted daily schedule, Newport Institute provides the highest-quality care for young adults. We perform a thorough clinical assessment to determine each incoming client’s specific needs, and create an individualized treatment plan that encompasses a variety of clinical and experiential modalities. Through multiple weekly sessions with our expert clinicians, young people build the resilience, connection, and self-esteem that allow them to find their place in the world. In addition, our Life Skills Program is designed to enhance executive functioning, support career development, and build practical skills. Young adults work with academic tutors and educational therapists to begin forging a path that ignites enthusiasm and hope for the future.
