Our Mission
Amae is a value-based care provider specializing in severe mental illness (SMI). We provide psychiatry-led, long-term care to bring transformative change in the lives of those with SMI. We specialize in providing care for adults dealing with complex behavioral health diagnoses, offering in-person care for conditions such as: anxiety, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, suicidal thoughts or attempts, psychotic disorders, major depressive disorder, co-occurring SUD, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, trauma, and mood disorders. 
Our Care Model
Amae offers care for all stages of recovery, including immediate post-acute event engagement with patients & family, in-person outpatient programming, precision treatment plans integrating gold standard clinical models, and symptom & outcomes tracking powered by measurement-based care. We believe that people with SMI are best empowered to thrive with the support of a care team. As a result, our outpatient care centers operate as both a clinic and a community center where our patients receive all medical care and recovery support. Some of our integrated services include: psychiatric care & medication management, primary care, group therapy, CBT + DBT integrated therapy, mindfulness, holistic health coaching, nutrition, exercise & sleep management, and peer support. Amae Health was launched by mission-driven individuals who have lost or seen their loved ones suffer from severe mental illness, and are deeply frustrated by the lack of adequate care available. At Amae Health, we believe there is a better way. Our team is bringing together both personal and professional experiences to comprehensively solve this problem. Amae is a Japanese concept meaning the need to be in good favor with, and the ability to depend on, the people around oneself. It reflects our core belief that a strong support system is essential to build people up, strengthen their will to carry on and even to thrive in life.
