You’re tired, anxious, overwhelmed, or feeling stuck. You’re going through the motions of the daily grind but missing out on being truly present and experiencing joy. You’re unsure about what steps to take to break free from old patterns, painful feelings, anxious thoughts, or critical beliefs about yourself. You don’t have to manage these thoughts and feelings on your own anymore. It’s time to let go of these unhealthy patterns and live a more fulfilled, authentic, intentional, and meaningful life.

Calm your body & mind, connect with your heart, discover who you are outside of your childhood programming & trauma. This leads to more peace, confidence, better relationships & often better health. Healing is a journey and ideally we dip into the past just long enough to learn from it and let it go. Living in the present becomes much easier when trapped emotions from the past aren’t always right there waiting to be activated. I offer an open, no-judgement, holistic space for you to bring your truest self, all preferences and spiritualities welcome.

Hi, I am Mollie! Do you feel like your past is always causing you to fail in the present? Do you want to get better? And are you sick of just talking about the problems without solutions or change? I work with individuals to help them find hope again when they feel all hope has been lost.

Do you feel like you've tried everything, but you just can't move forward? I incorporate evidence-based techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help individuals (age 8+) process traumatic experiences and work toward lasting healing. I enjoy working with kids, teens and families of all generations, including those in their sunset years. Regardless of your age or experiences, we all sometimes need a safe person to come alongside us.

Life is an adventure, and sometimes you need a guide to help you read the map. That’s where I come in. I believe healing and improved mental health are possible for all people. By both accepting and changing ourselves, we can change the world around us. I am excited to partner with you in this process. I recognize the mind-body connection and seek to incorporate mindfulness (and eventually movement) into my practice. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and several other therapeutic orientations including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

If you are depressed you are living in the past, if you are anxious you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present. - Laotse. Many of us can relate to this quote. In fact, many of the individuals I see now have suffered from a tremendous amount of pain. I want to join you in your healing journey, reaching a feeling of peace and comfort. Give yourself the permission to tell your story and BE HEARD. As your therapist I provide a safe & non-judgmental environment to really begin this process. I have no doubt in your ability to be at peace. I want to reinforce your strength, potential, & worth.

Are you hurting so much that you're wondering if living is really worth all this pain? It hurts so bad that it feels physical; you can feel it in your gut. You don't let those closest to you know what's going on because no one gets it; no one can help. Sometimes you feel completely out of place, like you don't belong here. Everything hurts so much and you can't stand it anymore. You keep looking for ways to take it all away. You don't deserve to hurt like this anymore. And you don't have to. It's time to take control of your emotions so your emotions stop controlling you.

We all experience obstacles in life that can be difficult to maneuver. Sometimes, this can leave us feeling stuck. Other times, the skills that we use to keep us safe and help us cope become the very things that create challenges in our lives. As someone who has struggled through many of life’s transitions myself, I know that the work of change isn’t always easy. My vision for therapy is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that allows each person to feel seen, heard, understood, and accepted.

Difficulties in our lives can interfere with our happiness, perhaps leaving us feeling stuck, anxious, depressed or angry. We want our lives to be better. Fortunately, the human spirit is resilient. This often is when we can heal, reconnect, and move forward in our life. My practice is built on the belief in our power to move from pain, change, to growth and joy. I have seen this in my life and my clients. I find success and purpose in this work. If you want to reach a better place, I have a gift for helping people achieve this, and would like to help you.

I would characterize my approach to working with clients as both holistic and strength-based. I feel that achieving mental and emotional well-being and healthy relationships requires paying attention to all areas of self: the mind, body and spirit. In addition, I try to help my clients achieve mental, emotional and relational health by building on the strengths already present in their lives. I firmly believe that people have the ability to make positive changes in their lives, and I see it as my job to help clients identify and traverse the steps necessary to achieving these changes.

️If our greatest strengths are our greatest weaknesses, what are yours? Sometimes our skills to survive get in our way to thrive. The challenge shows up in my clients' relationships, careers, identity, and substance use. If you're stuck in a cycle, harassed by a self-critic, losing love, or repeating the same old battles against anxiety and depression, you may not be thriving in the way you were meant to. I want to know why.

I'm glad you are here, it is often difficult to take that first step. My philosophy is that in an instant, life can change - bringing about shock, pain and interruption to our day-to-day routine. Even a seemingly positive change can cause feelings of overwhelm, loneliness and a sense of feeling lost. Help is needed to deal with these new feelings. As a result, I will work collaboratively in telehealth sessions with you to restore or bring about serenity.

FAQs - About Therapy and Counseling

How can I find a therapist in Cincinnati?

Search for nearby therapists or counselors by inputting your city, town, or suburb; or zip code; or a provider’s name into the search bar. From there, you can filter providers by the issues they treat, cost, insurance, gender, and other factors to find providers who are well-suited to your needs. To navigate between locations within the same country, enter a new city or zip code into the search bar.

Learn more about how to find a therapist

Is everyone in the Psychology Today Therapy Directory a licensed therapist?

The Psychology Today directory lists providers who offer legitimate mental health services to the public, including psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors.

Many have been licensed by the country or state where they practice; providers whose license or primary credential has been verified by Psychology Today are signified by a “Verified” symbol. Some clinicians or organizations provide services for which their state or country does not offer licenses, such as pastoral counseling. They may be selectively included without the “Verified” seal.

What’s the difference between a psychologist, a therapist, and a counselor?

Therapists, psychologists, and counselors are all licensed mental health professionals. In the US, psychologists have earned a doctoral degree. The terms “therapist” and “counselor” are used somewhat interchangeably, but generally therapists offer longer-term, mental health care, while counselors offer shorter-term care that may focus on one domain, such as marriage, career, or academic challenges.

Clients should consider factors such as insurance coverage and their primary reason(s) for seeking therapy to determine the type of professional best suited to their needs. Someone struggling with mental health challenges such as depression or anxiety, for example, may wish to seek out a clinical psychologist or therapist, while someone navigating career obstacles or marital upheaval may benefit from seeing a counselor who can offer short-term, targeted support.

What type of therapy is right for me?

The type of therapy best suited to a particular individual depends on several factors, including their primary reason for seeking therapy, their preferred timeline (some therapy types last for a set number of sessions, while others are open-ended), and their personality and preferences—some may prefer a more structured approach. For many individuals, multiple types of therapy could provide a good fit.

How much does therapy cost?

The cost of therapy depends on a number of variables, including location and the therapist’s experience and training. On average, a therapy session in the United States could cost between $100 and $200 or more. If you have insurance, the expense of mental health care is typically lower, but it varies based on your insurance plan details and whether you choose an in-network or out-of-network mental healthcare provider.

What are more affordable or low cost therapy solutions?

Many therapists offer sliding scale payments, usually on a limited number of slots, which consists in an agreement between the therapist and a client to pay a reduced rate. Therapists who provide such arrangements often consider the client's income or ability to pay, but the extent of the discount is ultimately at the therapist's discretion. Furthermore, while group therapy may have different goals and benefits compared to individual therapy, it can be a more affordable solution to address certain types of issues.

Is online therapy cheaper than in-person therapy?

Many therapists charge the same amount for online therapy as they do for in-person therapy—though clients may still find this cost-effective if it cuts down on their transportation costs. Health insurance plans often offer equivalent coverage for online and in-person therapy; indeed, in many places, they are legally required to do so. Text-based or on-demand therapy apps may be cheaper than traditional one-on-one psychotherapy; however, the practice may be less effective and is not likely to be covered by insurance.

Is online therapy a good option?

Therapy conducted online can be just as effective as in-person therapy, as long as there is a strong alliance between the client and the therapist. To find a therapist who provides telehealth services to clients in your area, click “Online Therapy” on the directory homepage and search by your city or town or your zip code.

Are therapy sessions confidential?

Confidentiality is a crucial part of the therapeutic relationship. Therapists in the United States are bound by the regulations set out by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), which aims to protect sensitive health information. With very few exceptions, a therapist will only discuss their client with others when the client has given their written permission. The instances in which a therapist would be required to disclose personal information are: if a client poses a danger to themselves or others, if the therapist suspects the abuse of a child or an elderly or otherwise dependent adult, or if they are legally forced to by court order. These exceptions to the confidentiality agreement are usually discussed with a client before their first session.
