Our goal is to set the standard for quality of care for patients suffering from addictive diseases. Our program is designed to provide patients with not only traditional modalities such as individual, group, and family therapy, but also an opportunity for patients to express thoughts through holistic modalities. These modalities can include music therapy, diet, exercise, sleep hygiene, and culture awareness are just a few. We believe success in addiction treatment requires lifelong behavioral modification, and should not be viewed as a short-term goal or a quick fix. Our holistic approach focuses on ways to help the patient develop a stronger sense of self-identity, self-esteem and self-confidence required to maintain addiction free. Addiction Medicine specialist is qualified as an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of addictions and compulsive disorders. They have advanced knowledge in understanding, preventing, diagnosing and treating addiction disorders. The field of addiction medicine is ever-changing. The addiction specialist must be prepared to navigate a new and challenging terrain, and help patients find the sunshine in the clouds. Opiates detox (withdrawal) symptoms include but are not limited to: Perpetually being tired, Hot/cold sweats, Heart palpitations, Joint pain, Vomiting, Nausea, Coughs, Diarrhea, Insomnia, Watery eyes, Excessive yawning, Depression Overdose: Slow breathing (respiratory depression), Seizures, Dizziness, Loss of consciousness, and even Death. Advanced Care Physicians Group, P.A. medication is provided when necessary to counter the detox withdrawal symptoms and make individuals more comfortable during this important phase. Clients receive an individualized treatment plan based on their needs. We utilize Suboxone AKA Buprenorphine/Naloxone maintenance and slow taper.
