The Newport Academy philosophy of care recognizes teen behavioral issues, such as substance abuse, eating disorders, and other co-occurring disorders, as symptoms of underlying mental health challenges, most often trauma, depression, and/or anxiety. In order for teens and families to achieve long-term, sustainable healing, treatment must address these root causes through integrated, comprehensive care that involves the entire family in the healing process. Our solutions-driven, outcomes-based approach is founded in compassion, expertise, and unconditional love. We nurture every aspect of a teen’s well-being, addressing their physical, psychological, social, educational, and spiritual needs so they can thrive when they return home and as they take the next steps toward young adulthood.
