Located in Scotts Valley, California, The Camp Recovery Center offers residential treatment to adolescents ages 13-17 who are struggling with a substance use disorder or co-occurring mental health concerns. We commonly address issues with drugs or alcohol such as the inability to stop using them and continued use despite negative consequences. For those who are currently using addictive substances, detox might be the first step in their treatment process. Our detoxification services help adolescents rid their bodies of drugs or alcohol so they can focus on their treatment plans. Residential care includes a structured therapy schedule with 24-hour support. The typical length of stay at this level is about 30-90 days depending on each adolescents’ specific concerns and goals. The Camp Recovery Center takes a holistic approach to treatment, ensuring that each person receives the personalized care they need to find lasting recovery. Someone’s treatment plan can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), substance use disorder education, recreational activities, yoga, and meditation. Every adolescent participates in individual and group therapy sessions. Group therapy is an important part of residential care where someone can learn and practice new skills and improve their self-esteem. We also offer the option for family therapy sessions where parents and other loved ones can learn how to become better support system members for their teen. Before being discharged, we provide each adolescent with a plan for continuing care that might include admission into a different level of treatment, referrals to outpatient services, and other resources to promote lasting wellness. The Camp Recovery Center provides adolescents with a peaceful, wooded setting in Northern California. Our 25 acres of land offer plenty of opportunities for sober recreation such as hiking, swimming, volleyball, and basketball. We encourage patients to take advantage of the healing power of nature and enjoy our mountain views. Our facility also comes with a state-certified school to provide additional educational support to teens during their stay.
