At Acadiana Treatment Center, we believe that residential treatment can help people who have mental health concerns like depression experience improved health and well-being. Young women ages 12-17 can receive clinically excellent depression treatment in our residential program, and we want to connect them with this care without delay. To enter our residential program, prospective clients follow a series of simple steps. First, they call our admissions team, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One of our team members can help them complete a screening that enables us to determine whether our residential treatment center is the ideal place for them. Once we admit a young woman to our care, they can meet their care team and take a tour of our treatment center. Our team takes the time to get to know each client and understand their background and therapeutic needs so that we can provide personalized, effective care. Treatment Approach
Our multidisciplinary care team includes professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, doctors, nurses, and recreational therapists. This team works together to gather information about each client’s background, symptoms, substance use, and therapeutic goals. Based on these details, they develop a personalized care plan for each of our clients. This plan can include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), evidence-based therapies designed to help clients learn to develop effective coping strategies. Clients can take part in individual, family, and group therapy sessions. Clients can meet with their primary therapist for individual therapy sessions on a weekly basis. A family therapist or the client’s primary therapist leads family therapy sessions. Group sessions are led by a therapist and cover topics such as behavioral management, life skills, and relapse prevention. In group therapy sessions, clients can also meet with their peers and offer each other support and encouragement. Our Treatment Center
Acadiana offers a residential depression treatment program for young women in the Lafayette, Louisiana, area. When a young person receives care at our residential treatment center, they can step away from their daily life and focus on their mental health. Our team strives to create a safe and supportive environment that helps our clients build a foundation for healing. We understand that healing from depression is a process, so we tailor our care to meet each client’s unique needs. At our treatment center, we combine evidence-based therapies with experiential therapies to comprehensively address the needs of each young woman we serve. We also design our programming to be developmentally appropriate for adolescents who are going through physical, mental, and social changes that can affect their therapeutic needs. While our clients receive clinically excellent residential treatment, they can continue their academic studies through our facility’s education programming. Our goal is to provide each of our clients with the care they need to help them thrive at home and at school once they’ve completed our program.
