Nature Based Therapy & Education Program
Do you enjoy the outdoors? The Center at Heron Hill is an Ecotherapy experience that utilizes nature and animals as well as a full array of activities in the great outdoors to enhance your experience of personal growth and development. We believe that nature is a missing link in customary treatment plans. In contrast to traditional treatment, The Center's goal is to bring the force of nature front and center into the overall treatment plan. Grow, Explore, Connect
As an outdoor therapeutic experience, The Center At Heron Hill provides a natural setting including a full-size vegetable garden and 60 acres of land devoted to the practice of Eco and Equine Therapy. We are a State Certified Mental Health Facility; every client is assigned a Qualified Mental Health Provider. Treatment Plans vary and are customized to leverage the many activities we offer including archery, plant identification, trail building and hiking. We have certified Yoga instructors on staff as well as Certified Archers, Marriage and Family Counselors, Wilderness First Responders, Art Therapists and EAGALA Certified Equine Assisted therapists. It is for this reason that there are few people we can't help find a new and better way to live. Intakes are typically scheduled as soon as a few days from your first call. Though we are best known for our group therapy approaches, individual therapy is available for children, teens and adults of all ages. We also serve couples and families; providing everyone with staff that best suits their needs. All Professional Staff
In conjunction with Alliance Counseling, we are staffed by a full array of professionals in the field. We are fully licensed by the State of Oregon and every client is assigned a qualified mental heath professional. Often, the team includes highly trained athletes and wilderness experienced educators including Equine Specialists, levels 1- 3 archers.
