Our team of doctors and nurses will also help assess for an medication needed and closely monitor your response to them. Wings Recovery is a residential treatment center for women located in San Diego. We offer intensive treatment in a small, private setting. We specialize in treating women with trauma, dissociative disorders, addiction issues, self harm and mental health issues. During the duration of treatment you will be living at our residential treatment center and receive 24 hour care. Wings Recovery was developed by a doctor and therapist to provide the highest level of care and healing. Clients receive individual therapy, group therapy, EMDR and other trauma-focused therapies, medication management, nutrition services, vocational support, yoga, equine therapy, creative arts groups, mindfulness and therapeutic outings.

West Coast Recovery Centers is designed to be a 90 day step down program for individuals coming out of a detox or residential level of care. Centered Ground began providing radically open dialectical behavior therapy (RO-DBT) in 2014, the first in Southern California to offer this groundbreaking approach. Directed by Dr. Angela Klein, part of the first intensively trained U.S. cohort completed by treatment developer Dr. Thomas Lynch, Centered Ground remains the only intensively trained program in the San Diego area. RO-DBT is the most current adaptation of traditional DBT for individuals who struggle with patterns overcontrolled behavior and emotional inhibition, including restricting eating disorders (e.g., anorexia nervosa), pervasive anxiety disorders, and chronic depression. RO DBT provides psychoeducation and tools to address the underlying neurobiology behind these patterns, to facilitate greater self-understanding, compassion, and desired connection in relationships. The program is based on the research of Dr. Thomas Lynch over the past 20 years. Skills training occurs in a weekly two-hour class, as well as private sessions. In 2018 Mia Najor joined the team, completing intensive training, as well.

Using the latest tools and technologies, such as Virtual Reality, combined with traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Biofeedback, we individualize treatment to serve each client's unique needs. UCSD Center for Healthy Eating and Activity Research (CHEAR) offers individualized, unique, and evidence-based programs that integrate neurobiology, cognitive, biological, emotional, social and environmental contributors to treat a variety of eating behaviors. At CHEAR we are developing new cutting-edge treatments, that are based on training your brain and your body to resist binge eating and overeating. Our clinical programs utilize neurobiological mechanisms to develop control over eating, including teaching participants to resist eating foods when physically full (resist cravings), to understand and detect hunger and fullness, to pay less attention to food and to train you to physically and psychologically resist unhealthy foods. We also utilize evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Family-Based Therapy, and Behavioral Weight Loss. Our caring, experienced professionals are highly trained in the treatment of binge eating disorder and obesity, as well as anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. Our binge eating and weight loss no-cost research studies for adults and youth are also available.
