The center has maintained an unparalleled safety record while demonstrating superior results for over two decades. From the inception of Waismann Method in 1998, Dr. Michael Lowenstein, M.D., the center's medical director, and Clare Waismann SUDCC/RAS, its founder, have continued to work tirelessly to provide patients the best possible experience, the safest form of opioid detoxification and the most successful results. The opioid detox journey begins in a private room of an accredited hospital, where a comprehensive medical evaluation and physical stabilization are performed. This meticulous pre-treatment protocol allows the medical team to identify each patient's unique health needs and the most suitable detox treatment plan. Dr. Lowenstein is quadruple board-certified and recognized as the USA's most experienced rapid detox physician. Rapid detox usually occurs on the second day in a private ICU room, under the care of Dr. Lowenstein and his team of medical professionals. The day after rapid detox, most patients are given a Vivitrol shot or Naltrexone to control cravings.

We also offer Medically- Managed Residential Detoxification services ( Incidental Medical Services ) which consists of 6 essential parts: Obtaining Medical Histories; Monitoring health status to determine whether the health status warrants transfer of resident in order to receive urgent or emergency care; Testing associated with detoxification from alcohol or drugs;Providing alcoholism or drug abuse recovery or treatment services; Overseeing resident self-administered medications; Treating substance abuse disorders including detoxification.

Our organization’s foundation revolves around the commitment to meeting teenagers and their families during their time of need while providing structure, support and the education necessary for long-term success. Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) has a high, research-proven success rate for adolescents with depression, anxiety, high emotional sensitivity, self-harming behaviors, and/or suicidal ideation. Our Comprehensive DBT treatment program is suited for teens ages 12-17 who struggle with these and other mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Evolve is one of the only treatment centers in the country that offers a Comprehensive DBT residential program for teens. We incorporate all four Comprehensive-DBT requirements: individual & family therapy, 24/7 in-the-moment skills coaching, skills training groups, and weekly consultation team. Teens learn the four core skills of DBT: Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness, and Distress Tolerance. Adolescents also benefit from weekly psychiatric supervision, daily academic support, and daily experiential therapies including equine, surf, drama, music, art, yoga and more. At Evolve Vanalden, we don’t just learn DBT—we live it. Whether during breakfast, group, downtime, or a midnight crisis, our therapists and residential counselors help our teens practice DBT skills at all hours of the day and night.

We will check on your out of network mental health benefits (PPO/POS plans only), lay out a payment plan for you, and set you up with the therapist who best meets your needs. We offer weekly, 45 minute online therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families anywhere in New York State and California State.

We are physician operated program that is also licensed to provide highly advanced psychiatric treatment options such as ketamine and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS). Our philosophy is to minimize medications and provide one on one intensive treatment in an intimate small group environment. We service all adult ages and also offer specialty treatment tracts that address the unique needs of seniors, chronic pain sufferers. Treatment is provided to only 6 clients at a time to provide highly individualized attention. Unlike most programs that advertise for mental health but are really substance abuse treatment programs, we are proud to be one of the very few double certified true mental health programs in existence. We are licensed and certified for advanced mental health and crisis stabilization (which means our clinical program, staffing and services must be the most intensive and highest caliber) by both the California Department of Healthcare Services and DSS.
