Aiding clients with the understanding of living by Faith, to be Known by Love, and to be a Voice of Hope! My counseling practice began as a ministry to fulfill a great need of Christian services. Providing clients with the ability to be healthy, happy and comforted with a belief of hope and peace in a time of need.

In 2017, The Timothy Center was awarded the Gold Seal of Approval in Behavioral Health Care and Accredited by The Joint Commission. Created out of a passion to provide professional counseling to adults, adolescents and their families, who oftentimes struggled socially, emotionally, academically, and spiritually. The vision was to broaden the practice to meet the needs of Austinites and their families and to support and offer help to navigate through life's challenges. The Center has grown from 2 full-time counselors to 11. Using proven psychotherapeutic techniques coupled with accredited training and licensure, The Timothy Center has become one of the most sought after Centers - now open in 4 Austin locations, with secure online counseling available throughout the State.

At Center for Discovery, we have built a legacy that has helped thousands of patients in eating disorder recovery. Since 1997, our continuum of care takes treatment out of hospitals and into real-life settings. Our evidence-based and trauma-informed treatments give our patients the coping skills and encouragement they need to navigate real-life recovery. Our team gets to the heart of why patients have a disorder—this means asking questions and providing therapies that reveal the root causes, all in a space that is filled with compassion and security. From the moment our patients step through the doors, they’ll begin developing the tools needed for everyday life after treatment.

At Cross Creek Hospital, located in Austin, Texas, we provide inpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with mental health concerns and need immediate stabilization and support. Our inpatient program offers clinically excellent therapies in a safe and secure environment where patients can begin their healing journeys. Inpatient treatment typically lasts seven to 10 days, and this short-term program can help people learn healthy coping skills and techniques for managing their symptoms. Patients receive round-the-clock care, which may include basic medical care, medication management, and detox services, if applicable. In inpatient programming, patients can participate in various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), and 12-Step support groups. Qualified clinicians lead individual, family, and group therapy sessions to support each patient in achieving optimal mental health outcomes.

At Cross Creek Hospital in Austin, Texas, we provide a wide array of programs for adults who are struggling with mental health disorders and substance use concerns. Our partial hospitalization program (PHP) is designed for adults age 18 and older who are seeking structured treatment but don’t require round-the-clock inpatient care. In our PHP, adults can receive comprehensive behavioral health support on a part-time basis and are able to return home at the end of each day. This flexibility allows individuals to make progress toward their treatment goals while fulfilling their responsibilities at work, school, and home. Patients in our PHP attend group therapy sessions that are led by our qualified therapists and cover topics such as coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and tips for supporting healthy sleep. Patients can also engage in individual and family counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Gestalt therapy and receive medication management services and basic medical care. Adults in our PHP meet five days a week for four hours each day, for six to 10 weeks.

Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute (GBHI) is a state of the art, 118-bed acute care psychiatric hospital offering comprehensive mental healthcare programs and services for adults, teens and seniors. In addition to offering inpatient acute care services, we provide outpatient programs that help support patients as they discharge or as an alternative to hospitalization. Our hospital provides a safe environment staffed by caring and highly educated professionals where we support a person-centered treatment program that promotes stabilization and healing. Our staff works with each patient individually, addressing each of his or her unique needs through an integrated approach. Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes physicians, psychiatrists, social workers, nurses, adjunctive therapists, and dieticians. Patients gain skills in developing healthy boundaries, learning how to appropriately express emotions, using effective communication skills, increasing self-esteem, managing anger, and developing life skills. GBHI will serve as an essential component of a recovery-oriented system of care where individuals can learn to live successfully in recovery with a serious mental illness and where families can gain knowledge and coping mechanisms to support their loved ones and themselves. Our evidence-based programs are designed to help individuals live healthy, satisfying and self-directed lives.
