Discovery treats adult women 18 and over and adolescent males and females ages 10 - 19 in separate programs. Our treatment locations offer a warm and engaging environment that fosters long term recovery. Each program treats a small number of clients at a time allowing for truly individualized care that is focused on healing both the client and their family.

Skyway Behavioral Health offers outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization programming for clients struggling with traumatic stress disorders (PTSD, attachment trauma, complex PTSD) and related symptoms (eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and personality disorders.) We offer full fidelity Dialectical Behavior Therapy including individual therapy, DBT skills groups, phone coaching, and a DBT consultation team for our staff. Outpatient (Level 1) and intensive outpatient (Level 2) services vary in intensity and duration. Generally clients who attend outpatient treatment attend individual sessions once a week and group session 1-3 times per week, whereas individuals who attend intensive outpatient treatment see a counselor for a weekly individual session and attend group 3-4 evenings per week. Each treatment program is designed to help individuals develop the structure and tools necessary to begin recovery from their substance use disorder. Ecker Center employs an integrative approach, utilizing evidence-based therapy practices that include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, Matrix Model, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Contingency Management. For many clients who are dealing with a primary mental health/mental illness, we approach their treatment focused on their co-occurring disorders and focus on both issues concurrently. We are approved to provide treatment to clients who are involved in the Court systems in Cook, DuPage, Kane and McHenry Counties. Our women's program also has childcare for women in treatment.
