We do not provide care to individuals whose primary current problem is a substance use disorder. There are many other options for their care. IOP provides intensive therapy 3 hours per day, 3 days per week. Group therapy is the foundation of IOP. Group has been well established as an effective treatment approach for 80 years. The interpersonal experience of group is supplemented and enriched with instructional material, psychiatric education and a variety of evidence based approaches. Most clients continue their regular individual therapy schedule while in IOP. Enrollment is not determined by a diagnosis but rather by how problems are interfering in your life.
