The Refuge, A Healing Place in Ocklawaha, Florida, provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older who have mental health disorders, eating disorders, and substance use concerns. Our PHP takes place on the same campus as our detoxification and residential treatment programs. However, this treatment program is a stand-alone option, and clients reside in separate housing from those in the residential programs. Clients in our PHP take part in six hours of therapeutic programming seven days a week, for up to 30 days. Many people enter our PHP after completing one of our residential treatment programs, but some enter this level of care directly. During the day, clients participate in therapies to learn more about mental health and addictions, develop valuable coping skills, and set goals for the future. Clients can also enjoy a variety of activities, including yoga, sculpting, ropes courses, and canoeing. Our PHP promotes continued healing and prepares clients for life beyond treatment.
