ANR approaches opioid dependency based on the pathophysiology and neuropharmacology vis-à-vis normal brain function and examines the interaction and relationship that would normally exist prior to the neuroadaptation and alteration that has now ensued from nervous system exposure to opioids. Individuals who develop an opioid dependency through the use of exogenous opioids suppress natural endorphin production while simultaneously inducing the nervous system to increase the number of active endorphin/opioid receptors. With increasing use and abuse, this develops into a vicious self-perpetuating cycle. As more and more receptors are induced, the individual requires greater and greater amounts of opioids/narcotics to quench their neuro-biochemical demand.

Choices Counseling Center offers outpatient therapy services for individuals, couples, groups that meet weekly and family sessions We help clients dealing with addiction, mental health issues, dysfunctional family systems, and grief from trauma. Psychodrama is our main modality of therapy, which allows clients to actively deal with the underlying issues and emotions that drive chronic relapse and negative patterns of behavior. We also offer intensive monthly weekend and five-day therapy programs for those seeking help for deeper core issues such as trauma. We also provide intensive outpatient therapy through our Extended Care program for recovering individuals in need of more structured treatment than traditional outpatient therapy.

Sabal Palms Recovery Center in Brooksville, Florida, is a leading provider of residential addiction treatment services for adults age 18 and older. Our residential program is designed for those who are struggling with addictions to alcohol, prescription painkillers, heroin, stimulants, benzodiazepines, and other substances. Clients live in dorm-style housing on our 10-acre campus as they participate in evidence-based therapies and receive services for several hours each day. Clients can work with our medical and behavioral health professionals who specialize in addiction treatment. If clients arrive at our treatment center with drugs or alcohol in their systems, they can begin addiction treatment by receiving detox services and then transition to our residential programming.
