Our intensive outpatient program provides an individualized focus within a program structure that's designed to meet the unique needs of adults. Throughout the treatment experience, patients actively participate in educational and skill-building workshops, process group therapy, one-to-one counseling, Twelve Step meetings, spirituality work and peer interaction. Our program uses a variety of evidence-based practices including mindfulness-based CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Twelve Step facilitation, and Interpersonal Group Psychotherapy. We provide an opportunity for participants to develop skills that enhance recovery. These skills are particularly focused on helping patients manage negative thoughts and emotions that often serve as triggers for, and/or are the result of, substance use. Our process groups provide participants with the opportunity to experience themselves (and have others experience them) in the context of not using substances. The group not only provides an opportunity to get support and to experience what we call "fellowship," but it also gives each person feedback about how they are being experienced by the group. Patients attend educational and therapeutic sessions, with a focus on: Learning about the disease of addiction and the dynamics of recovery Implementing healthy new practices into your daily routines Resuming professional, occupational or academic responsibilities and activities Developing and utilizing a sober support network. As you progress through outpatient alcohol and drug rehab program with us, you will attend daytime treatment sessions less frequently while transitioning into our extended outpatient program in the afternoon or evening.
