About
I recognize the courage and strength it takes to reach out for help. I would be honored to partner with you on your journey while offering you support and encouragement along the way. As a counselor, I aim to build a strong therapeutic alliance with my clients and I believe that is an essential part of therapy. I offer a warm, empathetic, positive regard and strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where my clients feel empowered and supported to take control of their lives and make the changes they desire.
I consider my approach to be Eclectic as I use different treatment modalities to provide the best treatment plan and care for my clients. I primarily use Solution Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with my clients. I also often utilize mindfulness techniques and meditation in session.
I have experience working with adolescents and adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life changes and adjustments, stress, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, self-esteem, and more. I am passionate about working with teenagers and young adults looking to improve their quality of life and the quality of their relationships.
